This website is served via GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, USA). When you visit, GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time, your browser and the page requested in server log files in order to deliver the site securely and reliably. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). GitHub is part of Microsoft and certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA rely on this adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties. All fonts, images and videos are served from the same server as the site.

Links to Instagram and LinkedIn

The Instagram and LinkedIn icons are plain links. Only when you click one do you leave this website; the privacy policy of that platform then applies.

Contact by email

If you write to me, I process your details only to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to carry out a commission (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). I delete the data once it is no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
